Abstract
Family or kinship relations in politics are increasingly being discussed when viewed in the
context of democracy studies, especially elections. This is often associated with the term of
political dynasty or power exercised by a group of people who are part of a family
relationship. Political dynasties in the 2024 election are evenly distributed across all age
groups, including young people who are in the age range under 40 years. Data from Kompas
Research and Development (2024) recorded that 62.6 percent (82) of the 131 young figures
in parliament came from the political dynasties. This study elaborates by looking at the
presence of young figures in the Indonesian parliament, both the DPR RI and DPD RI for the
2024-2029 period. The general findings of this study confirm that young figures in
parliament are also dominated by political dynasty backgrounds. Meanwhile, the youngest
members of parliament, both the DPR and DPD, are both filled by young politicians with
political dynasty affiliations. This study uses qualitative research methods with secondary
data sources. Keywords: Youngest Members of Parliament, Political Dynasty, Legislative Election
